ERIK KEHOE is back to Support Castaic Lake MXAug 20 2017
Erik Kehoe, an icon for any motocross racer in the Indian Dunes era! The late 70's and 1980 when mini bikes were making the transition from two wheeled lawn mowers to full on race bikes, just smaller! There were two riders that absolutely dominated! R&D Suzuki rider George Holland and Yamaha rider Erik Kehoe. After the mini cycle championships, both became champions in the 125cc class. George Holland retired fairly early from racing to follow the families foot steps in the almond business! Erik Kehoe was never able to shake his love for motocross, he became the number one rider and team manager of Honda of Troy. In 1993 right about this same time the Castaic Lake Motocross track was opening. Honda of Troy moved their team to Valencia to be closer to their new team manager. From the first race till closing, in 1998, you could find Erik Kehoe and his team riding at the Castaic Lake Motocross Track!
I spoke with Erik this week and he said "I'm going to make it to the race for sure one day, I just don't know which one yet and I'm not sure you're going to see me on a bike!"
